This carved breeze block was an exercise to understand the work of Modigliani. in my opinion a better sculptor than painter.

The slipper limpet, which grows in clusters, was the inspiration for this piece. Each shape was cast in rubber and piled one atop the others. Each shape both affects and is shaped by the weight and bulk of its neighbours.
